Chloes Cattery

We are a family run business, employing qualified full time staff working as a dedicated team catering for your dog’s individual needs. Daily health checks are undertaken first thing in the morning and last thing at night as routine practice
to ensure we act immediately should any health issue arise.
We fully understand the trust you place in us when you leave your pet with us, and our aim is to offer you peace of mind so that you may enjoy your holiday knowing that your dog is in safe hands.

BOARDING FEES

Please enquire as the fees charged are determined by individual breeds. Charges are inclusive for day of arrival and day of departure and not based on a 24 hour period of stay. A surcharge is added for all Bank Holiday periods and heating is charged for during the bad weather periods. Payment is by cash or cheque, we do not currently accept credit cards.

ACCOMMODATION

There are a variety of different sized kennels to accommodate most sizes of dogs.
We also have kennels we call the Double Units where larger dogs from the same family can share.
Each kennel is spacious with a central corridor looking across to other residents. The kennels have an elevated double-glazed window, an insulated door to the outside run and an infra- red dull emitter heater unit. All contained within a fully insulated cavity brick built building. Access to the external run is available to your dog throughout the day (weather permitting during the winter period) as is the sleeping quarter. This ensures puppies or older residents are able to rest when they choose to do so and that more active dogs can get as much fresh air as they want!

EXERCISE

Each dog receives approximately 4 periods of exercise a day depending on health and fitness. Your dog has sole use of one of the four securely fenced grass exercise enclosures in which to run. Bring a ball or frisbie to play with!

BEDDING

We supply sturdy hygienic plastic baskets and soft acrylic vet bedding to maintain our high standards of cleanliness and comfort. To add a touch of home and a familiar smell on first visits to the kennels we welcome a small piece of towelling or basket liner that your dog normally uses. Small only though please- something that can go into the washing machine easily! Sorry- No beanbags or duvets.

FOOD

As there are so many different varieties of food on the market now we recommend that you bring in your dog’s normal diet to the kennel to avoid any sudden change and upset tummies. It does help if you write down your feeding instructions and also don’t forget the measuring cups.We supply a good quality working dog food , one we have used for our own dogs for 12 years , for boarders we feed.

VACCINATIONS

No dog can be admitted without a current annual inoculation against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis and Parvovirus. Additionally cover against Infectious Bronchitis commonly called KENNEL COUGH is preferred during our busy periods but not essential. Please call or email for advice.
